The Georgia Tech Colony of Sigma Beta Rho was founded on April 2, 2005. At this time thirteen men would be given the status of founding fathers as they were the brothers who would establish the fraternity at the Georgia Institute of Technology for years to come.

As the members of the first South-Asian based, multicultural interest fraternity at Georgia Tech, they understand their responsibility not only to one another, but to the community as a whole. Through their actions, they will practice the values and ideals that the fraternity is based upon. With the dawn of every new day, they face the unexpected with determination, dedication, and an unwavering sense of honor and duty to the world in which we live.


Historical Timeline

  1. The Beta Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2005 with the induction of eight new brothers. They are Brothers: Pitbull, Orphic, Nano, Inquire, Guru, Quake, Breeze, and Typhon.
  2. The Gamma Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2006 with the induction of one new brother. He is Omar Sardar, Brother Epidemic.
  3. The Delta Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2006 with the induction of 14 new brothers. They are Brothers: Resolute, Archangel, Equinox, Brisk, Czhar, Break, Fidelity, Luminix, Artifact, Opaque, Zazu, Inspyre, Casarius, and Odysseus.
  4. On February 2nd, 2007, Sigma Beta Rho at the Georgia Institute of Technology was officially chartered on campus making us an official on-campus organization.
  5. In the Spring of 2007, Sigma Beta Rho along with 4 other organization helped to establish the Multicultural Greek Council at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Sigma Beta Rho also became a chartered organization on campus during the same semester.
  6. The Epsilon Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2007 with the induction of 6 new brothers. They are Brothers: Principal, Feature, Ma-Ti, Machidiel, Zygomorphic, and Mismatch.
  7. In less than two years, the Georgia Tech colony has more than tripled in membership and has grown to be the multicultural organization that the founders hoped that it would one day become.
  8. On July 14, 2007, at the annual national convention banquet, the Georgia Tech colony was granted status as an Associate Chapter; henceforth, they will be known as the Georgia Tech Associate Chapter.
  9. The Zeta class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2007 with the induction of 5 new brothers. They are Brothers: Shell Shock, Vulcan, Elixir, KingFisher, and Ischemic.
  10. The Eta Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2008 with the induction of 2 new brothers. They are Brothers: Cathartic and Clash.
  11. The Theta Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2008 with the induction of 8 new brothers. They are Brothers: Retiscent, Absynth, X-Acute, Helios, Diamond, Kronos, Acquiesce, and De-Tached.
  12. The Iota Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2009 with the induction of 3 new brothers. They are Brothers: Dryce, RipRap, and Terminus.
  13. On July 12, 2009 at the annual national convention banquet, the Georgia Tech Associate Chapter was granted status as a Chapter; henceforth, they will be known as the Sigma Chapter of Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity Inc. The Chapter also received the national Sigma award for outstanding community service.
  14. The Kappa Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2009 with the induction of 8 new brothers. They are Brothers: L.E.D, Anakletos, Scoria, Aracuan, Antifreeze, Lava, Render, and Freeze-Frame.
  15. The Lambda Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2010 with the induction of 2 new brothers. They are Brothers: Hook and Dellphenic.
  16. The Mu Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2010 with the induction of 3 new brothers. They are Brothers: Rebar, Woodstock, and Reventon.
  17. The Nu Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2011 with the induction of 3 new brothers. They are Brothers: Duplicity, Gryphon, and Samwise.
  18. The Xi Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2011 with the induction of 7 new brothers. They are Brothers: Stark, Linked-In, Ewok, E.N.D., Gneiss, Coyote, and Aquila.
  19. The Omicron Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2012 with the induction of 2 new brothers. They are Brothers: Bacchus and Psephoic.
  20. The Pi Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2013 with the induction of 6 new brothers. They are Brothers: Earth, Corax, Sheik, Syncopy, Armor, and Khionic.
  21. The Rho Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Fall of 2013 with the induction of 5 new brothers. They are Panacea, Kendo, Rex, Stonehenge, and Regulate.
  22. The Sigma Class of Sigma Beta Rho at Georgia Tech crossed into the brotherhood during Spring of 2014 with the induction of 9 new brothers.
